I have plenty of experience of creatively engaging with a range of age groups from nursery to sixth form in mainstream schools, I have curated a number of yoga interventions for primary, secondary and higher education settings as part of on-going research around yoga and body image.
Classes usually take place as part of the PE curriculum, however can be offered as lunchtime or after-school clubs.
The sessions are designed to offer students the opportunity to consider their choices towards healthy bodies, foucssed minds and settled nervous systems. The teaching is based on well-evidenced practices influcence by ancient wisdoms and contemporary understanding of body-mind.
Yoga at school will support students and staff to manage stress and for less sporty students to engage in the PE curriculum.
